If you want to see a piece of honest cement work, go look at the sidewalk in front of the Thorp residence. One block bears this imprint: “Lewis and Lucas, 8-25-1903.” That’s more than 16 years.

That sidewalk is a monument to the mechanical skill and personal honesty of its makers.

The Pratt Grocery has just installed the latest thing in the National Cash Register line to assist in the accuracy and speed in caring for their trade.

R.F. Janzen, formerly of the Mutual Telephone force, has joined the Delco-Light force.

At a meeting of the building committee of the new Christian church Thursday evening last, the contract for the erection of the structure was awarded to J.L. Zollars of Independence, Kansas, for the sum of $32,960.

The contract for the heating plant was awarded to RR. Moore Heating & Plumbing of Wichita and the cost will be $5,020.77.

The work is expected to begin in a very short time and it is planned to complete the building next spring.
