Entertainment given last Wednesday evening at the Brown school where Miss Irene Keazer is teaching was a success in every way. Receipts from the cake walk following the entertainment were between thirty-five and forty dollars. The high schools of the county will meet here Friday afternoon and evening to compete in the 14th annual field meet and literary contest.

Six high schools, Burns, Florence, Hillsboro, Lost Springs, Marion and Peabody will be in the field meet in the afternoon.

In the literary contest in the evening, at the new Christian church here, schools at Marion, Burns, Peabody, and Florence will be represented in oration and debate.

The new school building at Gnadenau, District No. 11, was dedicated April 25th. A big community dinner was served in cafeteria style, and a fine program of speeches, readings, and music was rendered. Practically every resident of the district was present.
