Marion’s first annual combined “Spring Show” is all set for next Saturday, May 23. It will be an all-day affair put on at the athletic grounds east of town and in the business district as well. Each element of the show is a big event in itself, and a large crowd of visitors is expected.

Miss Janet Patton from Riverton has been employed by the Marion County executive board of the Agricultural Extension Council to serve as the new Marion County home economics agent succeeding Miss Phyllis Kemp.

Community Guild celebrated its 44th birthday Monday with a program narrated by Mrs. Bill Holmes. Highlight of the evening was the presentation of five of the original six charter members, Audrey Higgins Carpenter, Eldena Williamson Willey, Clara Duncan, Jewell Amick, and Edna Frazer Shahan.

KAKE-TV’S Henry Harvey (Freddie Fudd) and his wife will be here in person Sunday, May 17, for an inspirational musical program at 7:30 p.m. in Marion E.U.B. Church. The public is invited.
