Dedication of the new Chaplain Kapaun Memorial High School at Wichita will occur Sunday with Francis Cardinal Spellman, archbishop of New York, and Military Ordinary of the Armed Service blessing the building and campus at 3 p.m.

A modern hayrack ride was enjoyed by members of the freshman class Monday evening when Milton Stenzel and daughter, Naomi, came in from their farm north of town with a tractor and trailer. Forty-some freshmen and their sponsors Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wiebe got aboard and rode back to the Stenzel home where they enjoyed a wiener roast and picnic.

Twenty-five rural elementary schools of Marion County will combine their 8th grade graduation exercises May 27 at the Marion City Building with an even sixty pupils receiving their diplomas.

Ruth Muck and Jan Rathert entertained about fifty young people at a party and hi-fi dance Saturday evening at the city building. Guests were members of the freshman class at Marion High School. The girls were assisted by their mothers, Mrs. Fred Muck and Mrs. F.H. Rathert.

Margie Regier and Mary Ann Miller were guests of honor at an eight o’clock breakfast Thursday morning at the home of Jewell Amick. Women from the courthouse were hosts. The two young ladies will be married in the near future. Each of the honorees was presented with a gift from the group
