Mrs. Ray Roberts is pictured with a few favorites of her most unusual collection of hundreds of dolls. She will display some of them and tell an interesting story of each at a Community Guild meeting May 3.

Karen Kline, recent graduate of Vernon’s School of Cosmetology, Wichita, will be taking appointments at R.K. Beauty Shop in Marion.

D.W. Longenecker, Newton, received $50 at Wednesday afternoon’s Cash Days drawing. Mrs. Leland Chizek, Lincolnville, missed $10; Ed Spohn, Tampa, missed $10; Wilbur Razor Marion, received $5; and Don Allen, Marion, missed $20.

Marion High School cheerleaders for next year are Toni McElwain, Judy Pankratz, Pat Warneke, Susan Yeagley, and Roxanne Zerger.

A fine new addition for the safety of parishioners at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen are handrails for the front steps. They were constructed and installed by Henry Jirak and son Sylvin. Paint was furnished by Mr. Krotz.

Goessel Future Farmer of America Myron Schmidt, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schmidt, has been named Star Farmer of Kansas for 1965. The Schmidt dairy operation includes around 100 dairy cows and heifers.
