A northbound 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a licensed 17-year-old identified only as “Jason” broadsided an eastbound 2011 Ford Expedition driven by an unlicensed 14-year-old identified only as “Allyson.”
The drivers’ last names were redacted without explanation or clear legal authority from an open, public record released Monday. Laws governing the release of information about juveniles specifically do not apply to traffic matters.
