SHERIFF

US-77 at US-50

Pan K. Dianxia 23, Santa Ana, California, lost control of his 2020 Toyota Corolla on an icy roadway at 5:05 p.m. Feb. 14 as he was turning north on the roundabout. The Toyota struck the west curb and then the east curb. The Toyota was towed. Deputy Kaylan Miles wrote on the report that inattentive driving and driving too fast for conditions contributed to the accident, but no citations were written.

Sunflower Rd. south of 120th Rd.

Brock A. Mitchell, 20, Marion, hit a deer at 8:35 p.m. Thursday.

US-77 south of 90th Rd.

Christopher L. Cairns, 47, El Dorado, hit a deer at 7:50 p.m. Friday with his 2021 Chevrolet Cruze.

Hillsboro

1st and Lincoln Sts.

Jessica Elizabeth Fine, 30, Marion, was westbound in a 2006 Chevrolet HHR Thursday, when Christine Ryding, 42, Hillsboro pulled a Ford XST owned by John A. Ryding of O’Neill, Nebraska, into the intersection of 1st and Lincoln Sts. and struck the Chevy on its left side. Fine complained of pain and soreness, but refused medical attention. Ryding was cited for failure to yield at the intersection.

300 block W. of Grand Ave.

An unknown driver hit a gas meter Friday that was providing service to a residence in the 300 block of W. Grand Ave.
