Charles Williams

Funeral services for Hillsboro native Charles Frederick Williams, 75, who entered into rest on Friday, June 10, 2022, at New Hope Services in Valley Center, will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at First Christian Church in Concordia. Pastor Dwight Whitead will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.

Born Aug. 17, 1946, at Salem Hospital, Hillsboro, he was the youngest of four children of Frank and Frances Westin Williams.

He spent all of his life in Kansas, living during his childhood on farms at Marion and at Courtland. He was a resident of Valley Center for the last 45 years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his three sisters, Margaret Norton of River Forest, Illinois; Clara Bremer of Sagninaw, Michigan; and Gwendolyn Heckathorn of Wichita, Kansas; a brother-in-law, Jerry Norton of River Forest, Illinois; and five nieces and nephews, Zsuzsanna Mahon of Haslett, Michigan; Renee Wells of Bay City, Michigan; Gayle Alderson of Topeka; Andre Zoltan Toth of South Lyon, Michigan; and Jennifer Alderson of Wichita; seven great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

The family will gather Friday morning the day of service at First Christian Church.
