NEW jailings

Brady L. Blazek, 27, Salina, jailed Saturday on a warrant alleging contempt of court. Released two hours later on $5,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Nov. 10, 2019, to Jan. 15, Oct. 30, 2019, and Dec. 22 to 30, 2018, mostly on suspicion of possession of drugs.

Elizabeth S. Brown, 48, McPherson, arrested Nov. 17 by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of probation violation. Held in lieu of $7,500 cash bond. Previously jailed Oct. 25 to 26 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and marijuana and driving while license suspended.

Bryan T. Grosse, 40, Marion, arrested Monday on suspicion of probation violation. Released an hour and a half later on $4,500 surety bond. Previously jailed Sept. 19 to 20 on suspicion of possession of drugs and paraphernalia, Jan. 22 for failure to appear in court, Dec. 13, 2019, on suspicion of operating a vehicle without a valid license, June 15 to 17, 2019, for failure to appear in court, and Nov. 5 to 6, 2018, on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage to property, and theft.

Jeremy A. Mallam, 27, Hillsboro, arrested Sunday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of theft, failure to appear, and probation violation. Held in lieu of $7,500 surety and $200 cash bond.

Michael A. McCollums, 60, Topeka, arrested Nov. 17 by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant alleging failure to appear in court. Released four hours later on $2,500 surety bond.

Donald J. Miller, 30, Peabody, arrested Friday by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant alleging failure to appear in court. Held in lieu of $469.50 cash bond. Previously jailed Jan. 6 to 8, Dec. 11 to 13, 2019, Sept. 3 to 4, 2019, July 24 to 25, 2019, Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, 2019, Dec. 29 to 30, 2018, June 5 to 6, 2018, and June 4, 2018, mostly for failure to appear in court.

Cody E. Riffel, 29, Marion, arrested Monday on suspicion of driving while license suspended. Released two hours later on $1,000 surety bond.

Melissa A. Tajchman, 28, Marion, arrested Thursday by Marion police on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Released three hours later on $10,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Nov. 4 for failure to appear in court.

Denim M. Wasiel, 34, Halstead, arrested Nov. 16 by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of probation violation. Released an hour and a half later on $6,500 surety bond. Previously jailed Oct. 5 to 21 on suspicion of disorderly conduct, Oct. 1 to 5 for failure to appear in court, and July 23 to Aug. 5 for contempt of court.
