Kassandra K. Allen pleaded no contest Sept. 7 to fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. Dismissed was a charge of speeding. Sentencing will be later.

Gerald D. Brooks, 57, Hillsboro, formally was charged Monday with domestic battery.

Darin L. Hill pleaded no contest Sept. 12 to two counts of violation of a protection order and was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and ordered to pay $263. Dismissed were five additional charges of violation of a protection order.

Ian A. Weisbeck, 45, Hillsboro, pleaded no contest Sept. 13 to theft and was sentenced to a year’s probation and ordered to pay $47 to Dollar General and obtain a mental health evaluation.

Dakota L. Young, 24, Florence, pleaded no contest July 25 to endangering a child and was sentenced to a year’s supervised probation and ordered to pay $160. Dismissed was a charge of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.
