Broadcasts about these fire and ambulance calls were monitored this past week by the newspaper.

Jan. 5

1:14 a.m. — A medical alarm was activated in the 100 block of N. Adams St., Hillsboro, no patient or residents were found by Hillsboro ambulance. Dispatch then sent Marion ambulance to the 100 block of Adams St. Lincolnville; the patient was helped up and refused to be taken to a hospital. Lincolnville firefighters and first response were also on scene.

6:32 a.m. — A 75-year-old man who was feeling ill near 40th and Yarrow Rds., was taken to Newton Medical Center by Marion ambulance. Burns first responders were also on scene.

1:08 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters, rescue and ambulance were called to a one-vehicle accident near Indigo and 100th Rds. One patient refused to be taken to a hospital.

7:26 p.m. — Law officers requested Marion ambulance to respond to a one-vehicle accident near US-77 and 40th Rd., the patient refused to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

Jan. 6

1:59 p.m. — A St. Luke Hospital patient was transferred to Wesley Woodlawn, Wichita, by Marion ambulance.

6:19 p.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita by Marion ambulance.

9:29 p.m. — Goessel and Hillsboro firefighters were called to a structure fire in an abandoned building near Falcon and 170th Rds.

2:58 a.m. — A 94-year-old man who was ill at Parkside Home, Hillsboro, was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

7:04 a.m. — A HCH patient was transferred to Newton Med by Hillsboro ambulance.

1:37 p.m. — A 65-year-old man who was ill at Parkside Home, was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

3:02 p.m. — A Salem Home resident with low blood pressure, was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

friday

12:08 a.m. — An 84-year-old man who had a rapid heartbeat at Salem Home was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

6:29 a.m. — Peabody firefighters were called to a general fire alarm in Westview Manor, Peabody. It was a false alarm.

7:11 p.m. — Hillsboro, Marion and Florence firefighters were called to a garage on fire in the 800 block of Hudson St., Marion.

10:03 p.m. — A HCH patient was transferred to Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, by Hillsboro ambulance.

saturday

4:34 a.m. — A 85-year-old man who fell in the 500 block of Norwood St., Peabody, was helped up and refused to be taken to a hospital by Peabody ambulance.

6:26 a.m. — A 51-year-old woman who had a possible allergic reaction in the 200 block of 5th St., Florence, was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance.

9:30 a.m. — An 85-year-old man who fell in the 500 block of Norwood St., Peabody, was taken to Newton Med by Peabody ambulance.

1:29 p.m. — A 14-year-old boy who cut himself in the 200 block of Roosevelt St., Marion, was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance.

1:35 p.m. — A HCH patient was transferred to Newton Med by Hillsboro ambulance.

monday

10:44 a.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Accession Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita by Marion ambulance.

12:20 p.m. — A 92-year-old woman who was ill at Parkside Home was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

2:25 p.m. — Hillsboro and Marion ambulance, Marion rescue squad and Marion firefighters were called to a two-vehicle accident near US-56 and Remington Rd. One person was taken to Accession Via-Christ St. Francis, Wichita by Marion ambulance.

4:47 p.m. — A HCH patient was transferred back to Parkside Home by Hillsboro ambulance.

5:00 p.m. — A 37-year-old man who was having difficulty breathing in the 800 block of N. Plum St., Peabody, was taken to Newton Med by Peabody ambulance.

8:52 p.m. — A HCH patient was transferred to Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City by Peabody ambulance.
