Centre Lodge No. 147 is sponsoring a contest for Marion High School juniors and seniors.

The theme is “The Benefits of Renewable Energy.” Essays must be typewritten, a minimum of 300 words, and a maximum of 500.

Prize for first place is $100, second place is $50.

Applications are available at the counselor’s office at the high school. Deadline is Feb. 29. Entries may be mailed to Centre Lodge No. 147, c/o Melvin Honeyfield, 122 Billings St., Marion, KS 66861.
