Holtsclaw entertains at Florence Christmas gathering

Holiday spirit filled the air at the Florence Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas gathering Saturday.
Bennie Holtsclaw sang Christmas carols while parents and children anxiously awaited for Santa to arrive. Refreshments of hot chocolate and cookies were served.
Santa arrived promptly at 6:30 p.m., with sirens and fanfare signalling the lighting of downtown Christmas lights.
Children waited in line for a chance to sit on Santa’s lap to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. The chamber provided bags of treats.
