Ambulance office assistant Jeanne M. Martanovic, 52, died after a long battle with cancer Thursday at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita.

She was born Oct. 24, 1964, in Alexandria, Virginia, and owned an interior design painting company before moving to Kansas. Most recently, she was an office assistant with Marion County Emergency Medical Services. She was member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wichita, where she sang in the choir. 

Survivors include fiancé John Goentzel of Marion; son Jack Martanovic of Denver; daughter Addie Martanovic of Chicago; mother Lou Ann Trout of Waterville, Maine; father Jerry Hill of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; and brothers Michael Hill of Cleveland, and Johnathan Hill of New Smyrna Beach.

Services were Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church with interment in Gard Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

A memorial has been established with Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.
