Library gets shot in arm

Library director Janet Marler said getting a 5-star award from Library Journal this year was a morale booster after a year that saw many canceled programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was a nice little happy spot to get the 5-star award when things were slow,” Marler said.

Only 10 of the state’s 328 libraries in the state receive a star rating from Library Journal.

“Thanks to our great community and patrons supporting the library through checking out books, using our internet/Wi-Fi, and attending programs and events,” she said.
