Marion student nominated

Sen. Jerry Moran announced Tuesday that Luke Socolofsky of Marion has been nominated for admission to the Air Force Academy.

Moran’s Service Academy Board considered more than 70 applicants interested in attending one of five service academies. Forty-two were nominated.

A final decision of who will receive academy appointments will be made early next year for admission in June.
