HILLSBORO
Theft
A license plate on a 2016 Nissan Versa that Angela Vann, 38, Hillsboro, is renting to own from Norma Duerksen, 68, Marion, was presumed stolen between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22 and 11 a.m. Sept. 24 while the car was parked outside Vann’s Oakwood Manor apartment.
Aggravated domestic battery
Blake A. Ware, 29, Hillsboro, was arrested after he allegedly became violent at 10:15 a.m. Saturday and destroyed items within a home in the 600 block of S. Ash St. that he shared with his wife.
Holes were punched in walls, closet doors were removed, and photographs were destroyed, police said. Ware’s wife allegedly was pushed to the ground and then grabbed by the neck, and her head slammed into a door frame.
Located a short time after police surveyed the damage and injuries, Ware was taken to Marion County Jail on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery. He was released 7½ hours later after posting a $10,000 bond.
An official offense report is pending.
