According to offense reports released Monday:

hillsboro

Jan. 8 — A harassment complaint in the 100 block of S. Birch St. was investigated. A juvenile curfew citation was issued. Charges are pending after a search of a residence in the 100 block of N. Ash St. rendered items that later tested positive for drugs. A motorist eluded police during a chase on gravel roads north of Hillsboro; a suspect has been identified.

Jan. 9 — A juvenile reported being threatened on social media. A reckless driver reportedly driving “aggressively” in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was investigated.

Jan. 10 — A suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant and several parking violations were issued in the 400 block of S. Adams St. A person who reported being followed by six individuals was investigated; officers were unable to locate anyone who had been following him.

Jan. 11 — Items and a stereo were stolen from vehicles parked in the 100 block of S. Ash St. and W. B St. A dog running free in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. was investigated. A bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of N. Main St. A vehicle reported stolen in the 100 block of N. Main St. was investigated; a suspect has been identified.

Thursday — Custody of suspects from Argentina and Mexico were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The person from Mexico was arrested in the 100 block of S. Main St.; custody will be transferred from ICE to U.S. Marshall’s Service because the suspect had allegedly been involved in an aggravated assault in the 100 block of S. Main St. last year.

Inclement weather preparations were taken.

Friday — Suspicious activity in the 100 block of S. Main St. was investigated.

Saturday — A report of an out-of-control juvenile in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St. was investigated; the juvenile was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital for mental health evaluation. A death notification in the 400 block of S. Cedar St. was investigated. Suspicious activity and a threat complaint in the 100 block of N. Main St. were investigated. A report of a runaway juvenile in the 400 block of E. 1st St. was investigated; the juvenile was located and transported to juvenile intake.

Marion

Despite repeated requests from the newspaper, Marion police did not provide a report of their activities for the past two weeks.

peabody

Jan. 11 — A set of keys was discovered and can be claimed at the police department by describing them.

Thursday — An unattended death of Peabody resident Mary Kay Strotkamp was investigated after she was discovered at 10:41 a.m. in the yard outside her home in the 400 block of Maple St. Chief Bruce Burke said a coroner found the cause to be a “natural death.”

A stolen license plate was reported.
