Lunch-goers at Marion Senior Center were among those who received a Veteran’s Day performance from Marion High School’s vocal ensemble. The singers toured the community Nov. 11 to show appreciation for veterans.

Marion Senior Center’s recent birthday celebrations included Clarita Caudill, Leland Albrecht, and Jerry Nelson.

Deana Olsen made her debut last week as the center’s newest volunteer, handling the beverage cart.

The senior center is working to send emergency meals to seniors who receive lunches at home, in case there is a power outage. The center encourages people to keep an eye on school closings during bad weather because the senior center will close when Marion schools do.

It will be closed Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving but open the day after.
