Story walk features new book

“The Little Red Pickup Truck,” a 2021 children’s book by Jamaican immigrant Sonica Ellis about kindness, friendship, and empathy, will be featured in windows of downtown Marion businesses as this month’s story walk, sponsored by Marion City Library.

According to its promotional material, the book is designed to help parents, teachers, and counselors teach toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners that when they are kind to others, others will be kind to them.
