Main St. in Marion will be closed from 6 to 11 p.m. Oct. 30 for trick-or-treating followed by a street dance, with music by Trent Crisswell.

Organizer Johsie Reid, owner of JR Hatters Mercantile, 308 E. Main St., set the date based on when a band was available and when other events did not conflict.

Downtown trick-or-treating, planned for the Friday night before, will move to the same Saturday and take advantage of street closure and provide a full evening of activity.
