Three Centre school board members were defeated by challengers in the Nov. 7 election.

Eric Carlson defeated Sherri Pankratz 56-49 as representative of the Lincolnville area. Pankratz was running for her first full term after being appointed by the board to fill an unexpired term.

Heather Steiner defeated Jeff Bina 41-39 as representative of the Pilsen area.

Yvonne Burhoop defeated Rick Basore 46-28 as representative of the Burdick area. Basore is current president of the board.

The new members will be sworn in at the January 11 board meeting.
