Ukrainian family to speak at Tabor

A visiting professor at Tabor College, Michael Cherenkov, and his family will give a Lifelong Learning presentation at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 8 in the Heritage Lobby in Shari Flaming Center for the Arts.

The Cherenkovs are a missionary family from Ukraine. They are in the United States for a two-year special work-study program.

They will relate experiences and share how they stayed strong as a family and true to their faith in the hostile environment of communist USSR.

They will tell how they came to Hillsboro and what they are doing in the community. They also will share their musical talents.

Membership for the seven spring sessions of Lifelong Learning is $15 per person or $29 per couple. Registration can be done at the door. The fee for an individual session is $5.

A discounted lunch of $4 will be available after sessions at the school cafeteria.
