Cottonwood Crossing Chapter of Santa Fe Trail Association will offer “Picnic in the Ruts” at 6 p.m. June 15. Dennis and Dorothy Youk will be hosts for the event on their property about 1½ miles west of Durham.

Marion Elementary School will lose two of its teaching veterans this year when Mary Jeffrey retires and Beth Rowe moves to Texas. Jeffrey has worked at the school for 19 years; Rowe, since 1971.

Florence Middle School students Lisa Buchholz, Jenny Christiansen, and Emily Costello were recognized with incentive awards at the end of the school year. Incentive awards are given to students who meet criteria based on attendance and grades.
