Area merchants will display the latest in seasonal fashions and merchandise this weekend during Marion’s Spring Fair. Businesses taking part in the style show are Van’s, Van’s Man, Reflections Ladies Wear, Unique Hair Designs, Buds & Blossoms, and Country Flowers.
Members of the Marion High School golf team are Genette Bolte, Joe Bolte, Kevin Burkholder, Larry Dalrymple, Brian Dannenfelser, Jill Dannenfelser, Chris Graham, David Hastings, Andy Hett, Jeff Jackson, Eric Kline, Kelly Linnens, Craig Mueller, Victoria Peterson, Trent Richmond, Jo Shepek, and Ty Waner.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bernhardt announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Diane Elaine, to Michael Allen Jeffrey, son of Mary Jeffrey and Edward Jeffrey, both of Marion. The couple plans to be married Aug. 9 at Valley United Methodist Church.
Two Marion County athletes have been selected to participate in the Mid-Kansas All Star Basketball games. April Ogden of Marion and Kirk Wyatt of Lost Spring will play in the competition, sponsored by Hutchinson Sports Arena.
Old county maps and documents will be placed and preserved in bound books. Lester Roush from The Woodlands, Texas, has been hired by county commissioners to laminate and bind a huge stack of frayed, loose legal records into legal-size volumes.
