These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-50 west of Quail Creek Rd.

An unspecified medical condition is being blamed for an injury accident at 2:43 p.m. Sept. 10 in which Joshua J. Widomski, 22, El Mirage, Arizona, drove a 2025 Kenworth semi off the road to the right, hitting a mile marker, and coming to a stop 909 feet later in a ditch.

Passenger Kyle G. Ellis, 22, Phoenix, unconscious after the wreck, was taken by Marion ambulance to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

The semi, owned by Swift Transportation of Gary, Indiana, sustained disabling damage to its front and undercarriage and was towed, according to a report released Thursday.

Old Mill Rd. north of 30th Rd.

Esperanza M. Solis, 18, rural Peabody, was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to NMC Health, formerly Newton Medical Center, after she lost control of her 2011 Toyota Camry at 10:09 a.m. Sept. 12.

It ran off the road to the left and slid into a bean field owned by Jeremy R. Entz, rural Newton, according to a report released Thursday.

No cause for the accident was specified in deputy Landis Goodman’s report, and no tickets were listed as being issued.

Her car sustained disabling damage to its front two-thirds and undercarriage, windows, and undercarriage and was towed.

US-56 west of Kanza Rd.

Ayden B. Brammer, 20, rural Marion, walked to Hillsboro Community Hospital after he fell asleep at 2:55 a.m. Sept. 14, and his 2001 GMC Sierra ran off the road to the left and overturned.

Deputy Jesse Raney’s report listed the truck as being totaled.

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Isidro R. Deshai, 28, Clarksville, Tennessee, hit a deer at 8:20 p.m. Sept. 14 with his 2020 Kia Optima, which sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, passenger side, and undercarriage and was towed.

Sunflower Rd. north of 90th Rd.

Distracted by checking his cruise control at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16, Paul D. Martinez, 59, Peabody, drove his 2016 Kia Sorento off the road to the right and into a ditch, smashing into a fence owned by Brandon J. Butts of rural Peabody.

Martinez’s car, owned by Melinda S. Martinez of the same address, remained drivable with damage to its front, hood, right, and undercarriage.

Deputy Kaylan Miles blamed the accident on inattentive driving. No tickets were listed as being issued.
