Cards requested
for 100th birthday

The family of Marion native Gene Elvin Stafford is asking for cards and well-wishes on his 100th birthday April 13.

Born in Marion to Linzie and Hazel Stafford, he grew up on a dairy farm here, graduated from Marion High School in 1946, and married Ramona Arlene Pearson in 1949.

In 1960, he graduated from dental school at the University of Nebraska and practiced dentistry in Nebraska and Colorado, settling in Boulder, where the couple raised children Stephen Leroy Stafford and Penny JoLynn Myers.

Before her death in 2016, the couple travelled back to Marion for many years, usually attending Old Settlers Day.

Cards and well wishes may be sent to Morningstar Senior Living, 1850 S Hover St, Apt 215, Longmont CO 80501.

A party with entertainment and refreshments is planned for April 10 in Longmont.
