NEW ARRESTS

Jacob W. Barger, 20, Herington, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed Nov. 28, 2020, on suspicion of distributing marijuana and Nov. 12 through 21, 2021, on court orders.

Gerald B. Brooks, 57, Hillsboro, arrested Sept. 28 by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of domestic battery. Released 14 hours later after posting a $1,000 surety bond.

Dakota L. Dillashaw, 28, Wichita, jailed for 48 hours Saturday on court orders. Released Monday after posting a $2,500 surety bond for failing to appear in court. Previously jailed nine times for a total of 192 days between June 12, 2017, and June 24, 2022. Earlier incarcerations were on court orders (twice), for failing to appear in court (four times), for allegedly violating probation (twice), and on suspicion of domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

Amber M. Frame, 34, Salina, jailed Sept. 20 for failing to appear in court. Held in lieu of $7,500 surety bond.

Morgan E. Hiebert, 24, Marion, jailed Thursday for failing to appear in court. Released 20 minutes later on a $1,500 personal recognizance promise.

Jeffrey V. Prafke, 41, Wichita, arrested Sunday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of distributing and possessing illegal stimulants, of possessing drug paraphernalia and drug-manufacturing items, and of driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked and without proof of liability insurance. Released 21 hours later on a $10,000 personal recognizance promise.

Clifton L. Richmond, 36, Marion, arrested Friday by Marion police and a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of aggravated battery and possession of marijuana. Held in lieu of a $10,000 signature bond and a $10,000 surety bond.

Kelby J. Schmidt, 29, Hillsboro, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of interfering with law enforcement and being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Released nine hours later on $500 bond. Previously jailed Aug. 22 to 29 on court orders and Feb. 10 and 11 on suspicion of criminal damage to property, harassment with a telecommunications device, and reckless driving.
