Full weekend of activities planned in Florence

Florence will pull out all the stops and present everything from games for kids and adults, a cyclekart race, World War 11 reenactments, a street dance, and other entertainment during its Labor Day weekend celebration.
World War II
The 101st Airborne Dog Company will present a World War II reenactment from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, highlighting history, medicine, a mess kitchen, and Germany.
Saturday’s displays will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weapons demonstrations are planned at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
On Sunday, the 101st Airborne Dog Company will present a living history display from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with weapons demonstrations at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
On Monday, it will have living history displays starting at 9 a.m. and weapons demonstrations at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Saturday
A downtown street dance will begin at 6:30 p.m. The dance will feature musician Kyle Killgore from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the Roy Isern Band from 9 p.m. to midnight. Wanderlust Foodie will be parked in the beer garden.
A medallion hunt will go on all weekend, with the first clue announced on a loudspeaker at 8:30 p.m. during the street dance. Hunters will look for two medallions, and winners will get cash prizes.
A back road poker chip run will begin at 3 p.m.
A rock/paper/scissors championship, in which people buy necklaces for $2 each or $5 for six and challenge anyone with a necklace to a rock/paper/scissors game, will begin Saturday. Brackets will be based off number of necklaces, with different colors counting for different points. Champions will be announced at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Food vendors, 50/50 raffle ticket sales for a pot of half the ticket money, gun raffle ticket sales and T-shirt sales will go on all day Saturday.
Sunday
Sunday will feature a 10 a.m. church potluck dinner and service at Grandview Park.
A cyclekart race will be 1 to 6 p.m.
Local baseball players in vintage uniforms will square off against an opposing team at 6 p.m. at the ballpark.
Face painting, concessions, T-shirt sales, 50/50 raffle sales, and gun raffle sales will continue throughout the game.
An ice cream social will begin at 7 p.m., and a second medallion clue will be announced at 7:30 p.m.
Minute-to-win-it games will be after the game.
A fireworks show will begin at dark.
Monday
John McKay American Legion Post 308’s Labor Day car show will begin at 8 a.m. The show will include raffle items, kids games, food vendors, and a flag-raising ceremony at 10:45 a.m.
Craft vendors will open for business in the park at 8 a.m.
A photo contest display will run all day.
A cornhole tournament will be at 9 a.m. at Rusty Spur saloon.
Parade line-up will begin at 10 a.m., and the parade will be at 11 a.m.
A third medallion clue will be given at 9 a.m., a fourth clue will be announced at 11 a.m., and a fifth at noon.
Inflatables will be open 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A petting zoo will be open noon to 2 p.m., and an intuitive life coach will make a presentation.
Jess Dean Band will perform 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Turtle races will begin at 1 p.m.
Kids games will be at 1:15 p.m.
The winner of the 50/50 raffle will be drawn at 1:30 p.m. and the rock/paper/scissors champion will be announced at 2:30 p.m.
