Golfers compete against heat, wind

The Warriors girls’ golf team was up against a hot and windy day on Thursday in Osage City.

“I was very impressed with their effort,” coach Max Venable said.

Senior Georgia Madgwick led the team in scoring. Newcomer Vyolett Dawson improved her scoring by nearly 20 shots.

The Lady Warriors will travel Thursday to Council Grove. Council Grove “is a hilly course with challenging greens,” Venable said.
