Aug. 15 will be the deadline for members of Marion High School’s Class of 1974 to register for the class’s 50th anniversary reunion planned for Old Settlers Day.

Class members will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28 and ride in the Old Settlers parade at 11 a.m.

After having lunch on their own in Central Park, they will be introduced at 2 p.m. on the park stage and then meet at 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post at 4th and Main Sts. in Florence for a cash bar followed at 6 p.m. by a steak or chicken dinner.

Dinner will cost $35 per person. T-shirts based on a refreshed design by late class member Jim Coe will be available for $15.

Checks made out to MHS Class of 1974 and indicating meal preference and men’s T-shirt size are being accepted through Aug. 15 by Mike O’Dell, 2477 180th Rd, Marion KS 66861-9629.
