These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Burglary

No signs of forced entry were found after Ronald G. Hiebert reported that a chain saw, a toolbox, two gas cans, and five gallons of gasoline, together valued at $752, were stolen between 10 and 10:40 a.m. Dec. 29 from his residence near 160th and Holly Rds.

HILLSBORO

Burglary

Nathan D. Schafer, 21, reported that three toolboxes and assorted tools, together valued at $694, were stolen between 5 p.m. Dec. 17 and 10 a.m. Dec. 20 from a vehicle parked in front of his residence in the 200 block of N. Washington St.

Among the items reported stolen were a drill and charger, an oscillating tool, a work light, a stud finder, a headlamp, a grout float, drill bits, a tile saw bit, a bit and driver set, and various nuts and bolts.

Police found no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.

Theft, criminal damage

Owner Felix Ramirez, 48, of Valley Center reported that a $20 chain was broken and a $600 generator was stolen between 7 a.m. Dec. 27 and 7 a.m. Dec. 29 from a mobile home in the 300 block of W. 3rd St.

Criminal damage

Jeremy Matlock, 48, reported that Christmas lights valued at $50 were damaged between 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and 6:30 p.m. Thursday at his residence in the 400 block of Briarwood Lane.

MARION

Theft

A 15½ horsepower log splitter valued at $2,500 was reported stolen between 12:01 a.m. Dec. 27 and 9 a.m. Dec. 29 from a residence owned by Bryan Grosse in the 700 block of N. Cedar St.

The theft was reported as having been discovered by Earl L. Hamilton of a different Marion address.
