These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
HILLSBORO
Theft, drug, weapons, and driving charges
Two Wichita men were arrested at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 after Hillsboro police officer John Huebert stopped a stolen 2013 Volkswagen Passat with no license plate and a defective taillight in the 500 block of S. Ash St.
Seized in the stop were a 12-shot Taurus 9mm compact pistol, trace amounts of methamphetamine, 0.47 of a gram of marijuana (enough for one or two “joints”), a vaping device with THC (the active ingredient in marijuana), and a digital scale.
Driver Joseph Fielder, 26, and passenger Brandon Davidson, 23, both of Wichita, were arrested and jailed in lieu of $27,000 in bonds for Fielder and $15,000 for Davidson.
Police are seeking there charges against both of them: criminal possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of stolen property, stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Fielder faces additional charges of possession of THC, trafficking in contraband at a correctional facility, and driving while his license was suspended.
The car was reported stolen from Kennedy M. Williams, 31, who resides in the 3900 block of W. 20th St. N in Wichita.
