Scouting
To the editor:
I believe more kids should be involved in Boy Scouts.
There are many opportunities to travel. You build relationships and connections with a lot of people. As you rank up, you feel a sense of accomplishment. More than 100 merit badges that can be earned — something for everyone.
Being in scouts teaches you to be a better person. It helps you develop leadership skills. There are a ton of fun activities you can participate in such as rock climbing, caving, and visiting historical sites. You learn about the Scout Oath and Scout Law, along with the Leave No Trace principle.
Reaching Eagle Scout is a big accomplishment, something only 7% of all scouts do. You could be an Eagle Scout!
